Part 2: The Criminal Code of Cruelty

How Sharia Punishes Dissent, Sex, and Theft

Welcome to the house of horrors called Islamic criminal law, where godly justice means floggings, amputations, stonings, and public executions. Where a divine legal system thinks cutting off limbs is a suitable deterrent and death is a reasonable response to thought, sex, or speech.

This isn’t a smear job. This is source-cited, blood-soaked fact.

If you’ve been fed the idea that Sharia’s punishments are “misunderstood,” “symbolic,” or “only applicable in times of war,” buckle up. Because we’re about to drag those cozy delusions into the sunlight and burn them alive — with scripture, hadith, and real-world implementations.

๐Ÿ“š Sharia’s Penal Code: A God-Sanctioned Bloodbath

Sharia isn’t just about prayer or fasting. It lays down hudud — “fixed punishments” — for specific offenses said to violate the rights of God. These include:

  1. Theft

  2. Adultery

  3. Apostasy

  4. Alcohol consumption

  5. Highway robbery

  6. False accusation of adultery (qadhf)

These aren't metaphors. These are mandated punishments — executed for over a millennium and still practiced today in theocratic states.

Theft: One Strike, You’re Disfigured for Life

“Cut off the hand of the thief, male or female...”
Qur’an 5:38

No context. No poverty clause. No assessment of circumstance. Steal — lose a hand. Period.

Reliance of the Traveller (Shafi’i Manual, o14.0–14.5): Specifies the minimum value of stolen goods, the required number of witnesses, and the exact location of the amputation.

This is law. Not allegory.

๐Ÿ”ช Modern enforcement:

  • Saudi Arabia still practices hand amputation.

  • Iran and Sudan have carried it out against petty thieves.

  • ISIS did it publicly — live-streamed for followers.

Whether state-sponsored or jihadist-implemented, the source remains the same: Sharia law.

๐Ÿ’€ Apostasy: Believe What You Want — And Die For It

“Whoever changes his religion — kill him.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 6922

Qur’an 4:89: “But if they turn back [from Islam], then seize them and kill them wherever you find them.”

There’s no “freedom of conscience” under Islamic law. Belief is a one-way door: in or dead.

Reliance of the Traveller o8.0–8.7: Lists apostasy as a capital offense, with a three-day grace period for repentance before execution.

๐ŸŽฏ Modern application:

  • Afghanistan (pre- and post-Taliban) sentenced apostates to death.

  • Pakistan jails and executes apostates under blasphemy laws rooted in Sharia logic.

  • Iran executes for “enmity against God” — a euphemism for disbelief.

Let’s be clear: Sharia doesn’t merely criminalize actions — it criminalizes belief.

๐Ÿชจ Adultery: Rocks, Flesh, and Sanctified Violence

“The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication, flog each one of them with a hundred stripes…”
Qur’an 24:2

But wait — it gets worse.

Stoning (rajm) is found in multiple Hadiths:

Sahih Muslim 1691: “The Prophet ordered stoning for a married man who confessed to adultery.”

Sunan Abu Dawud 4403: Details the Prophet’s order for a woman to be stoned — after giving birth.

๐Ÿ“œ According to Islamic legal consensus:

  • Unmarried adulterers = 100 lashes.

  • Married adulterers = stoning to death.

๐Ÿง  Logical nightmare: The Qur’an does not mention stoning — only flogging. The stoning punishment is based entirely on hadith and a “lost verse” allegedly eaten by a goat (Sunan Ibn Majah 1944).

If your sacred law depends on a goat’s lunch, it’s not divine — it’s farce.

๐Ÿชจ Modern stonings:

  • Iran, Somalia, and Nigeria (under Sharia courts) have stoned people as recently as the 2000s.

  • Taliban and ISIS revived stoning in occupied territories.

This isn’t cultural. It’s canonical.

๐Ÿท Alcohol: 40 to 80 Lashes — Because God Hates Happy Hour

While the Qur’an gradually discourages alcohol (see 2:219, 4:43, 5:90), the Hadith makes the punishment crystal clear:

Sahih Muslim 1706: “The Prophet ordered lashes for one who drank wine — forty, and in some cases, eighty.”

And the jurists complied:

Reliance of the Traveller o16.0–16.2: Drinking intoxicants requires flogging — forty to eighty lashes.

Real-world implications:

  • Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan have flogged citizens and foreigners for alcohol.

  • Brunei enforces 40 lashes under its “Syariah Penal Code.”

๐ŸŒˆ Homosexuality: Your Existence Is the Crime

No mercy here either.

Sunan Abu Dawud 4462: “Kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.”

Qur’an 7:80–84: The story of Lut (Lot) is used to justify total annihilation of entire communities for homosexual acts.

Classical rulings:

  • Hanafi: Execution by sword.

  • Hanbali: Stoning.

  • Shafi’i/Maliki: Death, with method varying by ruler.

๐Ÿ“ Still enforced in:

  • Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mauritania, and under Taliban rule.

LGBT under Sharia? There is no “Q.” It’s buried with the rest.

⚖️ Qadhf: If You Accuse Without Witnesses, Get Whipped

Qur’an 24:4: “Those who accuse chaste women of adultery and do not bring four witnesses — flog them with eighty stripes.”

This isn't protection for women — it's a barrier to justice. A rape victim who can’t produce four male witnesses risks being accused of adultery herself.

This isn't moral. It's medieval trauma codified as law.

๐ŸŒ Sharia Justice: Still Alive, Still Butchering

If you think these punishments are ancient history, consider:

CountryPunishments Enforced Under Sharia
Saudi ArabiaAmputation, beheading, flogging, apostasy execution
IranStoning, public hangings, amputations
PakistanBlasphemy death sentences, honor killings
AfghanistanTaliban stoning, apostasy laws, summary executions
NigeriaSharia courts ordering amputations and floggings
BruneiSharia law includes stoning for adultery and gay sex

This is not misinterpretation. This is implementation.

๐Ÿง  Logical Checkmate: The Inhumanity is the Point

Let’s apply raw logic:

Premise 1: A perfect God is all-wise and all-good.

Premise 2: Sharia reflects God’s unchanging justice.

Premise 3: Sharia punishes thought, sexuality, and minor theft with death, mutilation, and flogging.

Conclusion: Either God is a tyrant — or Sharia isn’t from God.

There is no middle ground. Either you defend divine torture or you abandon the myth. Choose.

๐Ÿงจ Final Verdict: Sharia’s Criminal Law is Barbarism in Religious Garb

Sharia isn’t misunderstood. It’s painfully well-understood — by victims, by jurists, by governments enforcing it today.

This is not “moral guidance.” This is god-sanctioned cruelty, ritual humiliation, and state terror dressed up as divine order.

You cannot modernize it. You cannot humanize it. You can only expose it — and bury it.

⚠️ Disclaimer

This post critiques Islam as an ideology, doctrine, and historical system — not Muslims as individuals. Every human deserves dignity. Beliefs do not. Telling the truth is not hate. Sanitizing barbarism is.
